1. Nanshan Ski Resort (北京南山滑雪场)

 

Nanshan Ski Resort is one of the largest Beijing ski resorts within 100km of the city center. It features the famous Mellow Park as well as a seasonal toboggan run which was imported from Germany and is over 1000m long. With over 20 ski trails which cater to a wide range of skiing ability, Nanshan is great for a weekend away or just a day trip out of the city.

2. Huaibei International Ski Resort (怀北国际滑雪场)

 

Huaibei International is one of the oldest ski resorts in Beijing. This resort does a great job of catering to many levels of skiing ability. Huaibei International also does a great job of entertaining those who aren’t skiing with a scenic chairlift and children’s snow play areas.

Ski lessons: depends on the amount of skiers. Prices start from 300 RMB per person for 2 hours and 1000 RMB for all day. Group lessons for 5 persons for 4 hours is 1280 RMB or for a larger group of 10 persons 2400RMB for 4 hours.

Public Transportation: Bus 936 from Dongzhimen Bus Terminal operates from 7:00am to 7:00pm and from the resort 5:00am to 5:00pm. Busses depart every 20 minutes. With air conditioner 14 RMB, without 7 RMB.

Shuttle Bus: Start at 8:10am from the parking lot adjacent to Oriental Ginza 东方银座停车场内发车 (Exit B of Dongzhimen Station) and back from the Ski Resort at 04:30pm. Bus fare: 150 RMB (weekday), 210 RMB (weekend). Call 010-89696677, 010-84869353 at least one day in advance.

3. Lianhuashan Ski Resort (莲花山滑雪场)

 

Located near the trendy expat district of Shunyi, Lianhuashan Ski Resort is perfect for a family get away for the weekend or day without having to travel too far from the city. This resort features some of the cheapest entry and ski hire rates and its proximity to Beijing makes it a perfect first time skiing experience in Beijing.

4. Wanlong Ski Resort (万龙滑雪场)

 

Wanlong is the furthest distance from Beijing in this feature. However, its quality exceeds many other similar resorts in Beijing and even in the whole of China as it is titled as “China’s largest ski mountain”. A whopping 22 trails for a range of skiing abilities and attached hotel makes it perfect for a weekend or longer away. Wanlong house sites over 2000m above sea level and gives visitors a fantastic view over the resort and surround mountain area. Wanlong has been reviewed as one of the top Ski resorts in the country.

 Located in in Xiwenzhuang Town in Miyun District Yunfoshan Ski Resort is set on a beautiful environment surrounded by the mountains on its three sides. Yunfoshan Ski Resort is mainly targeted at the local skiers with affordable ski rates. It allocates a big portion for Children’s playground welcome by skiing parents.
