Located one-hour and a half (80 km) far away from downtown Beijing, Longqing Gorge (龙庆峡), is a great place to relax and enjoy a dramatic landscape. You will dive in its stunning scenery made up of sharp cliffs and rolling hills which are usually to be found in Southern China, along the Li River.
The gorge displays various attractions such as the Longqing Gorge Cruise, Baihua Cave and the Shenxianyuan and Jingang temples. After entering the Park, visitors may want to take a walk to admire the striking landscape before boarding an open-top boat for a cruise along the river. Longqing Gorge is also an ideal place for thrill-seekers who can bungee, rock-climb and abseil.
In winter, the Ice Light Art Festival is held in the park. Chinese and foreign tourists will praise its waterfalls and beautiful ice lanterns.

Getting there
Public transportation
Route 1:
Take express bus 919 (快) from Deshengmen Bus Station (德胜门); the address is 9 Deshengmen Dong Dajie, Xicheng District (西城区德胜门东大街 9号). The fare should not exceed 12 RMB. Disembark at Yanqing Dongguan (延庆东关) after nine stops. Then take a cab to Longqingxia. It takes about one hour and 40 minutes in off-peak hours. Deshengmen Bus Station is right in front of Beijing Ancient Coin Museum (北京古代钱币展览馆). Bus 919 (快) runs everyday from 5:45 – 21:00.
Tip: make sure you get in the express bus 919 (快) as the slow bus 919 (路) will stop more frequently along the way to pick up passengers.
Route 2:
Subway: Take S2 subway at Beijing railway north station, get off at Yangqing. When you arrive, take a taxi or the 920 bus to the Longqing Gorge.
