Located 70 Km from central Beijing, the new viewing platform protrudes over the edge of a 400m high cliff in the stunning Jingdong Stone Forest Valley. 11 metres longer than its sister viewing platform that hangs over the Grand Canyon in the USA, it is now the longest glass bottomed viewing platform in the world.

The platform is made of titanium alloy, the first time the material’s been used for this purpose. With great intensity, strong anti-corrosion properties and high thermal resistance, the material is widely used in the aerospace field.

For those who dare, the views are pretty spectacular as they look over the Pinggu Stone Forest Gorge.

Pinggu Stone Forest Gorge is located 70 km northeast of Beijing in Pinggu district. Stone Forest Gorge has lush vegetation and fresh air, it covers an area of 12 square kilometers and it is 6 kilometers long. It got its name because the rocks and peaks in the gorge look like trees straight upward, giving the gorge the appearance of a forest.

Vertigo sufferers beware; this all-new glass platform is not one for the faint-hearted.
