Family box is by far the most well known of all the playgrounds in Beijing, boasting a swimming teacher that has taught various celebrities’ children how to swim. Designed to enrich the imaginations of Beijing’s children, SAKO architects has created a playful educational environment entitled ‘family box’. The scheme’s interiors feature bold splashes of color alongside sinuous forms that represent an abstract interpretation of arboreal vegetation. Due to a very high number of bilingual staff, communication is easy and the educational classes are much more effective. Combining education, recreation, science and fitness activities, it claims to be a comprehensive, yet flexible education system offering world-class facilities, spread over a 6,000-sq m, three-story building, to meet children’s physical and emotional needs. Family Box is suitable for children up to the age of 12.
