The French International School of Beijing (LFIP) was founded in 1965. It currently has more than 826 students from 50 different nationalities from pre-school to Terminale.
Our school is part of the Agency for French Teaching Abroad (AEFE) network, comprising 495 schools in 137 countries. This network puts a strong emphasis on universal values : tolerance, humanism, equal opportunity, intellectual curiosity and the development of critical thinking. It allow pupils to follow a continuous education, from pre-school to the French Baccalaureate, anywhere in the world.
The French International School of Beijing (LFIP) is a school part of the AEFE network (Agency for French Teaching Overseas). Thus the students taught by the LFIP are, by priority and right, French nationals, students from a French school of the AEFE network or in agreement with the Ministry for National Education.
The school provides education from Pre-school to High School.
The establishment is also a school recognised by the Chinese authorities, as a foreign school teaching non-Chinese students.
In accordance with relevant regulations and policies of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission, LFIP can only enroll students with foreign passports with a valid resident visa sponsored through the parent’s employer.
For any other situations, or students from Hong Kong, Macau or Taiwan, LFIP can enroll them with a special authorization from Beijing Municipal Education Commission.

Exams & Success Rates
After obtaining a bachelor’s degree, our students have access to the best universities and colleges, whether in France or abroad (Canada, Switzerland, Belgium, United Kingdom, Asia). Foreign students can benefit from scholarships issued by the French state to continue their studies in France.
From kindergarten to senior year, our students benefit from a rigorous teaching following the school curriculum established by the French Ministry of National Education, leading to the “National Diploma of the Patent” and to the French “baccalaureate” or to the “OIB “, the international option of the French baccalaureate.
