Founded during the fall of 2005, the Canadian International School of Beijing (CISB) offers an internationally recognized Canadian education.
CISB is an authorized three program IB World School offering the IB Primary Years, IB Middle Years and IB Diploma Programs. Graduates obtain a Canadian (New Brunswick) high school diploma and have the opportunity to complete the full IB Diploma program.
Students at CISB benefit from and broaden their knowledge by learning cutting-edge technology, high-quality music, language arts, mathematics, and science programs. As a three program IB authorized world school, our preschool to grade 10 students are taught Canadian course content through the IB Primary Years and IB Middle Years Programs. High school students can choose to study the IB Diploma Program or Canadian courses starting in grade 11.
Our class levels range from Montessori Nursery (18 months to 3 years), Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten to Grade 12.
Our student body currently comprises over 1400 students from the diplomatic and expatriate communities in Beijing and represents over 60 countries. With over a 130 foreign staff, our qualified teachers meet the Canadian certification standards or the equivalent. The majority of our staff is recruited from Canada with a blend of teachers from 12 other countries from around the globe.
Through our partnership with the government of New Brunswick, Canada, we offer a Canadian curriculum from kindergartento grade 12.
