We are a state-of-the-art, purpose-built facility just 1km from the BCIS Main Campus. Every room, every play area, every corridor and corner have been built with our young learners in mind, so that no matter where they are during their day, the children can discover new things and develop new understandings.
We believe that young children learn best through investigative play and individual discovery. We believe in creating the ideal learning environment, where all our teachers are committed to actualizing the potential of each and every BCIS child.
Our internationally recruited teachers and specialists work in collaboration to provide continuity and to monitor student progress. A balance of small group, whole group, teacher-directed, and student-initiated activities are used to support different learning styles.
Children move through the environment independently, developing their motor skills, making new discoveries, and interacting with their peers.
At BCIS, we believe in personalized education and are committed to small class sizes where children are nurtured and encouraged to become lifelong learners and creative problem solvers.
The Early Childhood Center (ECC) serves students from Toddler (2-3 years old) to Kindergarten (5-6 years old).
We use an inquiry-based program where children are encouraged to ask questions, make connections and construct their own understanding of key concepts, skills, knowledge and attitudes as outlined by the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) curriculum.

For applications to the Early Childhood Center* (Toddler, Nursery, Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten)
1.Copy of Student’s and Parents’ Passport information pages and valid visa pages OR Hukou
2.School Transcripts or Reports for the last academic year (in English) if available
3.One completed Recommendation Form if the child is attending a program or school
4.The completed Student Medical Form and vaccination records
* ECC students should submit the Kindergarten New Entry Students Health Check-up Form completed by a Doctor at any hospital or clinic within 3 months prior to enrollment.
