As the 19th Party Plenum is ongoing, Beijing subway announced to enhance security at the particular stations.

Security checkpoints throughout the entire Beijing Subway now conduct body searches along with bag and parcel x-ray scan.

Some subway stations will also limit the number of passengers and will direct extra passengers to line up outside of the station.

The Beijing Metro advice passengers to avoid taking the subway during peak hours also not to bring any liquids onto the subway in order to avoid extra checks and increased wait times. Remember to bring as less parcel as possible.

Also, deliveries (aka Kuaidi) are delayed during the party congress. Online shoppers in Beijing will need to wait longer for their purchases to arrive due to heightened security. Beijing-based customers are currently receiving notices from Taobao, JD and so on informing them that their shipments may take longer than usual.

FYI, here are the things that aren’t allowed in Beijing during Party Congress

2.Hot Air Balloons

3.Live Music (in case of people gather together)

4.Airbnbs (within the Fifth Ring Road are all aren’t allow to host)
